Find Your Normal

What is normal in 2020? Nothing. We can say there is nothing normal to 2020 and in so many facets of life, it is fact. We can have our opinions on the how and why, but the fact is that it has just not been normal. What do you do when everything around you hovers in uncertainty? You need to find that one thing that is your normal. Whether it is getting back into reading, taking a walk in the evening, or sitting down and playing a game of chess or 52 Card Pick-Up, your normal is more important now than ever. I want to encourage each of us to find that one things we can go back to, turn to, or go on with that gives us a little normalcy, and ultimately some thankfulness in a very difficult time. Normally, holidays are a toss-up in how it impacts individuals. That is normal. What is not normal is how much the holidays in 2020 will impact individuals. Take the extra time to say hello, to think of and reach out to a friend or loved one. Mail a card or note to a random person, giving some encouragement to their day. And once again in the midst of 2020, find your normal.
