Longdale Tiger Talk

Week of September 6, 2021

Great to See Students and Families!!!

It was great to see so many students and families during our Open House last week. We are looking forward to welcoming our students Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

School begins Wednesday, September 8th.

Doors open at 7:20 a.m. to receive students.

School hours are 7:40 a.m. – 2:10 p.m. Monday - Friday

Class Placements and bus routes are available on the Parent Portal.

Bus routes are posted at the front door of the school.

To minimize the number of people in the building, only students and staff will be able to enter the building. Parents/families will not be able to walk students to class. Families are asked to drop their children off in the drop off/car loop area in front of the school. Staff will be available to direct students to their classrooms.

For our youngest Tigers, consider giving them a index card/note with their name, grade, and teacher name to assist our team in guiding them to their classroom.

Bus Transportation

There have been updates made to bus information over the weekend. If your child is a bus rider be sure to check your child's transportation information in preparation for Wednesday.

Requesting a Desk Shield

If you would like to have a desk shield installed on your child(ren)'s desk, be sure to send in a note or contact your child's teacher to make the request.

Free Breakfast and Lunch

Students at Longdale Elementary will receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2021-22 school year. To qualify for additional services, families are encouraged to complete the application for free meals, however it is not needed for your child(ren) to receive free meals (breakfast & lunch) at school.

Calling all parent/family volunteers! We are ready to get our Parent Teacher Organization up and running again for the school year. "Many hands make the work light." You don't have to commit to a lot. If many volunteer to do a small part, when it all comes together great things can be done for our students.
