Remote Student Report Cards
Learning Environment Choice - Trimester 3
Families will have the option to change the learning environment for their student for the third trimester. You will receive information via email on how to change your child’s instructional program during the week of February 1. If you do not want to change, there is nothing you need to do.
Report Cards
Hybrid Students - Paper copies of report cards were sent home with students on Friday, January 29.
Remote Students - Paper copies of report cards are available for pickup in the office from 8am-4pm starting Friday, January 29. Report cards can also be collected at the February 2 supply pickup from 4-7pm.
Health Certification Lanyards - Hybrid Students
Please make sure students have their completed health certification in their lanyard each day. Extra red lanyards, plastic sleeves, and health certification slips can be requested from the office.
Zoom Drop-In Help Room Suspending Operations
The Zoom Drop-In Help Room will be suspended indefinitely. We do not have the ability to staff this currently when students are back in the building. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Picture Day
Our picture day with Color Portraits will be on Wednesday, February 3. Please see the information below on how to order (click to view the PDF).
Hybrid students will take their pictures while they are in the building. Remote students can come to Cafeteria door 2 between 11:30am-12:30pm to have their picture taken. Please DO NOT come for pictures before 11:20am. We are still in the middle of dismissal and there will be a traffic backup in the parking lot.
We are very sorry, but the photo company is not offering hours outside of the school day. We are looking into the possibility of having a retake day outside of school hours, but do not have anything set yet.
Parenting during Unprecedented Times with Dr. Kristie Brendel
Many district staff have been participating in workshops aimed at increasing resiliency during difficult times. We are excited to announce our parallel series for parents, entitled Parenting During Unprecedented Times with Dr. Kristie Brendel. This 10-week session will mirror some of the learnings from the staff workshops to create a shared language for resiliency.

2021-22 Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year will be in February. Pre-registration (which is just for new families to create a PowerSchool account) will begin on February 1. Registration will begin on Thursday, February 18.
RIVER TRAILS PARK DISTRICT UPDATES
Kid Squad Connect/Hybrid
Upcoming Session: Quarter 3/Session 3 (Feb 8-26)
Kid Squad Connect is an e-learning child care program has been made available to meet the needs of local parents and children due to the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. The River Trails Park District will offer a safe and supervised e-learning environment from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30pm Monday-Friday. Our KS Hybrid option is available for those choosing to participate in the hybrid (in-person & virtual) learning schedule placed forth by the River Trails School District 26. Full week options are available for both morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) e-learning needs. RTSD26 will provide bus transportation from/to school and our Kid Squad facility after the AM school session and before the PM school session. Kid Squad Unplugged is available for those that require additional care after the school day has ended. Participants in e-learning must supply their own laptops, charger, extension cord and headphones with a microphone. Registration is available through the RTPD website.
