ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 26- MARCH 2, 2018
SUBS THIS WEEK: There will be many teachers off campus this week at NCTIES and other activities. Please make sure to introduce yourselves to those in the building that are not regular employees, offer to help, and make sure students are on best behavior. Substitutes are "eyes and ears" for the community- they let others know the "real story" of PUE! Let's help make sure it is a positive impression.
PUE PRESENTERS: We wish the 2nd grade and 5th grade teachers well as they present at the NCTIES conference this week. The 2nd grade team will present information on Mystery Skyping in the primary classroom and 5th grade team will present on global resources. We are so proud of you all!
EARLY RELEASE FRIDAY: Our last Early Release is this Friday. Please work with your team to finish your last global badge. If you have any questions please get with Heather Shipley by the end of Wednesday as she is attending NCTIES on Thursday and Friday. Also, please plan to bring your lunch or order in. We don't think lunch will be provided by PTA as Heather Wilson is on vacation. If we hear different we will let you know.
SEVERE WEATHER DRILL: There will be a severe weather drill on WEDNESDAY, March 7th at 9:30 AM. You will line up outside classrooms as indicated on the fire/severe weather drill maps posted in your classroom. More information will be send in next week's announcements.
YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW: Yearbooks are on sale now. The early bird price for the yearbook is $20. After March 5th, the price goes up to $25. Yearbook ordering options can be found at Pleasant Union Yearbook. You will need to enter Pleasant Union's Job #: 4262718
"BT" TEACHERS: Please work toward completion of you PDP over the month of March so that we can hold summary conferences with you in early April or if you are tracked out at the end of March. Wake County typically wants all paperwork in around the middle of April. We will be visiting your classes to finish up your observations in March. Typically, they will be unannounced visits.
SPRING FLING SIGNUP: Thanks so much for all that have already signed up for a theme-based basket for the Spring Fling on Sunday, April 22. There are a few spots left as well as “other” if you have a special theme. Be sure to support your room parent in marketing the basket and event.
