Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings

October is here and our PTO's Beautification Committee has been getting BGS all set up for the fall season! The fourth grade BGS Girl Scout Juniors Troop 61213 had lots of fun working together after school on Monday to water the school's grasses and mums, carry cornstalks and put them up at the center island as well as near the BGS sign. They also put up the scarecrows from the PTO closet to decorate the outside of the school building. They did this during their meeting as part of their effort to reinforce the ideas of volunteering, community service and making the world a better place, starting with their school!

Special thanks to Farmer Debbie at Norz Hill Farm for their generous donation of hay bales, grasses and gourds. If you have a chance, check out the Norz Hill Farm Fall Festival!

Also of note, if you missed our PTO meeting last week, you can check out the full minutes here.

Lastly, we invite you to attend the Superintendent's State of the District Forum. It is this coming Monday, October 8 at 6:30 PM at the Middle School. Discussion topics will include the district’s 5-year strategic plan starting with an overview of the current state of the district and moving to our goals for growth over the coming years. In addition, current information on our academic programs, facilities, budget, and information about how you can get involved with and stay informed about the district's strategic work.
