College Planning Opportunities
College planning will be here before you know it! Please consider attending one of Beaverton School District's college planning information nights designed for 8th-10th graders on March 5th at Sunset High School or March 6th at the new Mountainside High School. A presentation on "Building Your College Profile" will begin at 6:30pm, followed by information for student athletes about the NCAA. Both events are the same, so attend the one nearest you.
Following these events, ACMA's counselors Gillian Dyall, Jan Zalewski and Shereena Johnston will be holding a College Q & A session for parents on Friday morning March 8th at 7:30am – 8:45am in the PAC Foyer. We hope that you will be able to attend the district information night and then bring your questions that morning! We will spend some time going over the pros and cons of various college options and then answer your questions. Hope to see you there!
Looking ahead, ACMA's annual 10th grade field trip to Western Oregon University will take place on Tuesday April 9th. This campus visit is a great way for all of our students to think through their college options and ask questions. We are looking for chaperones to join us, if you can be available please sign up though the ACMA volunteer system. The time will be 8:30am to 2:00pm including the bus ride between school and WOU. Please consider signing up here, thanks!
