This Week at Brookside...
Remote Learning Edition: Week of March 16, 2020
Daily Instruction for Brookside Students...
It is important to recognize that remote learning will not look like typical classroom-based learning. Nonetheless, we have ensured that there is structure to the plan that creates a sense of consistency for students. Our goal is to keep students learning during a timeframe when we may not be in school.
- Teachers will post their Google Classroom assignments each morning by 8:30 a.m.
- Each morning you will receive a Brookside Learning from Home Attendance Sheet. We are requesting that parents complete the form, by 10:00 a.m. each day for their child/ren, as this will be considered confirmation of receipt of the email and, in turn, will facilitate student attendance.
- Students are expected to complete assignments as assigned and comply with all policies regarding technology usage in the classroom; Student work submission should be at the end of the day/week depending on assignment. No student work should be due outside of the normal school day hours.
We have also set up a Remote Learning PICS Folder if you would like to share pictures of your children working from home!
We all hope that the members of our community remain in good health and that we are able to be together again in our schools as soon as we can.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and continued partnership.
