A Message From Dr. Quadri
Dear Bulldog Families,
I hope and pray that all of you are safe and in good health. It’s hard to imagine that almost a month will have passed us by since we last visited with our students and families. The sudden departure from what once was the norm has left everyone frustrated and confused. There is an uneasiness because we are not sure of what’s to come…
However, not all is lost when hope abounds. We’ve been through many challenges; this just happens to be a bigger one. Little by little, we’ll find a way. Humans are a resilient species.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to take care of yourself right now. That’s right, parents…I’m talking to you! Even with the uncertainty surrounding us, committing a few minutes of time to yourself will do wonders when you care for your loved ones. I read an article called That Discomfort You’re Feeling is Grief—and it’s so true. We are all hitting a wall at different stages right now, and that is okay! Many of you are working from home, working with your children, preparing meals, planning the day, all in one day, every day. It is challenging, to say the least. As educators, we understand and are doing our best to help.
As we begin our online adventure this coming week, I want to assure you that we are taking measured steps each day to ensure our kiddoes are taught the course content as outlined. We will offer flexibility, support and feedback that is vital to your child’s growth. At Austin High School, we are here to serve our students’ needs.
So, take deep breaths, find solid outlets, and remember there is no perfection--only persistence. You will learn more about what you can do than you ever realized. I have all the confidence in the world!
So, continue to stay home, wash your hands, and we will “see” your kiddoes online!
#Online4Austin!
Praying for all of you and your families…
Thank you, stay safe and stay tuned…
Respectfully,
R. Quadri

Student and Parent Online Support
Dear Students and Parents,
We hope all of you are healthy and safe especially during the COVID-19 health emergency. During the school closure, Fort Bend ISD is offering At-Home Learning (online learning) for each of our students.
We want students to have an engaging and successful experience with online learning, and the following tools are provided to assist students in the online learning environment. These support tools consist of technical, program and application-specific videos, guides, training, chats and more to assist parents as students need support at home with engaging in their virtual classroom.
Additionally, FBISD has set up a Let’s Talk group to receive your questions and feedback about online learning support, 24 hours a day. An online support call line will also be available soon.

Student Withdrawals
Can I withdraw my child?
A parent may withdraw their child from any Fort Bend ISD school; however, the date of withdrawal will be dependent on the date that the district reopens. Per our approved calendar, we had April 13, 2020, as a student holiday. Therefore, the first day for new enrollees would be Tuesday, April 14, 2020. If a student is withdrawn using that date—and the district remains closed—the withdrawal information will need updating. Students cannot be withdrawn on days in which the district is officially closed.
