Reflections from the week of 1-16-17
This past week, several teachers and administrators throughout the district attended a hands-on workshop to learn more about the Writing Project in CSISD. As educators, we learned strategies on how to boost students’ confidence in writing and how to improve students’ fluency in writing skills. Moreover, this technique allowed all students to engage in learning regardless of their prior knowledge or expertise. I saw first-hand how the presenters differentiated instruction. More importantly, I saw how this method could be integrated across all disciplines too. Clearly, writing provides an opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking skills by organizing and processing information in a clear and concise way. If you are interested in learning more about the Writing Project in CSISD, please follow up with Grace Stanford, Jackie Shoemake or Dameon Wilson.
If you are scheduled to have a 45 minute evaluation, be sure you are knowledgeable of the T-TESS rubric and contact your appraiser with any questions that you may have. Your ratings for the four domains will be guided by the rubric. Remember to upload your evidence through TalentEd portfolio (Uploading Evidence in TalentEd)
This is Your Moment to Shine!
