MHS Students Head to State for the Science Fair
Three students placed first in their respective categories for the MJAS and ISEF Science Fair. Preston Barron got 1st place in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Clayton Garnett got 1st place in Environmental engineering and Sam Tadrus got 1st place in Chemistry.
Clayton placed 1st overall in the ISEF science fair and has qualified for the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, AZ in May. His project is entitled: The construction of a Nephelometer for the spectrophotometric analysis of chloride ions in water samples.
All 3 qualified for the state competition in Maryville in April.

MSHSAA Choir and Band Contest
On March 19, the Moberly Band and Choirs performed in the MHS Performing Arts Center. Each group performed their pieces that were taken to contest on March 21 at Mexico High School. Concert and Freshman Choir received a Satisfactory rating and Chamber Choir received an Exemplary rating. The Concert and Symphonic band both received an Outstanding rating.
