Example 1: Jackie Robinson and two other people from the black baseball league were asked to try out for the Boston Red Sox. He had to have perseverance because he knew any white who were judging would not like blacks trying out for the national league. Pg.291

Example 2: Jackie Robinson had to preserver when a white baseball player called him a Negro. He had to preserver because that was a very strong word that could offend you very much, especially if you were a black person. P. 295
