Paws for Following Dismissal Expectations and Exiting the Cafeteria Line on a Level 0
Our focus for paws will be dismissal and exiting the cafeteria on a level 0 at this time.
Hopefully this schoolwide incentive will motivate our students to behave accordingly. As we know, Spring fever will be here soon, and we want to be proactive. I need staff to help promote “Paws for Pawsitive Behavior”. This is just reinforcing your classroom positive behavior incentives. Thanks for your cooperation and for all you do!!
Our Vision and Mission Statements- We are what we say we are! Make every day show it.
Hearne Elementary will provide a learning environment where all students are empowered as leaders and critical thinkers. We are committed to building positive relationships in a safe environment while creating life-long learners who are prepared for the 21st century.
Mission Statement
The mission of Hearne Elementary School is to guide our students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make responsible life choices and positive contributions in a diverse society. In collaboration with home and community, we respond to the needs of every child, ensuring that each child can and will learn.
Input your daily attendance by 8:30AM each day!
Classes with Perfect Attendance this week
These are the awesome classrooms with perfect attendance this week:
Pk- Ms. Ramirez a.m.
Pk- Ms. Castellanos a.m.
Ms. Pena
Ms. King
So far this school year, we have lost over $92,000 in funding due to absences. Let's get our classes with perfect attendance to 15 classes each week. This is money we can return back to you!
If you have a student who has missed more than 3 days (consecutive or not), please call the parent and begin documenting your attempts to get the student to come to school each day. Keep in mind the flu season has been horrible this year. Please express your compassion to our parents and families. Ask for a doctors note to excuse the absence, if necessary.
Our UPDATED Campus Goal- Targeted Small Group Instruction
In order to achieve this goal this year and beyond, we are providing the proper training for all staff members so we can all be aligned as we tackle the Main Thing: Student Achievement.
Campus Norms- Be P.R.E.S.E.N.T
