Commons Update

January 2023

Happy New Year!

We have officially been open for two months, and it has been great seeing staff and students utilizing the new space. We have lots of great events in store for January and further into 2023, so read on to find out what's new and happening!

January Display: "Make Your Dreams Happen"

In keeping with the tradition of making resolutions for the new year, the January display in the Commons highlights ways you can "Make Your Dreams Happen": titles include how-to books on decluttering, drawing, and yoga; ways to focus on tasks and ask better questions; and unplugging and venturing outside for physical and mental health. The display is located opposite Common Grounds and all titles are available for checkout: just see Mr. Epstein or Mrs. Miceli.

January Volunteer Activity: Meals on Wheels Notecards

Each month, the Commons sponsors a volunteer activity that is available to staff and students. This month's activity will benefit Meals on Wheels in Hunterdon County. Use one (or more!) of the notecards available to write an uplifting message, draw some artwork, or illustrate your favorite positive quote. These cards will be added to the meals delivered to residents to help brighten their day. All supplies are available by the Commons welcome desk. Help us make someone else's day!

January 2023 Virtual Stickerboard

Back by popular demand! Celebrate 2023 with our virtual stickerboard: click here to get started and see what the first of the 2023 stickerboards has in store for you.

January Book Bingo

Also back for 2023 is our monthly book bingo board. Click here to access the bingo board virtually, or see Mrs. Miceli in the Commons for a print copy. Students who show a complete bingo (either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) can win a $5 Amazon gift card!
