This week was National School Breakfast Week. Erin Gredler, our food services manager at PENNCREST, was out to MES for breakfast service for a giveaway to help us celebrate. She had two autographed hockey pucks to give away to 2 lucky students that got breakfast on Tuesday morning! Our lucky winners are pictured above! Congratulations to Cody and Isaac!

Tiger Point Weekly Tallying

WOW! We are really racking up the Tiger Points around here!

Kindergarten - 10,606

Grade 1 - 11,288

Grade 2 - 8,232

Grade 3 - 8,569

Grade 4 - 10,022

Grade 5 - 10,701

Grade 6 - 10,153

For a GRAND TOTAL of 69,571 Tiger Points so far this school year! Keep up the great work, MES!

What Are Tiger Points?

Tiger Points are given when students are demonstrating expected behaviors by following ROAR Expectations. Once a grade level collectively banks 1000 Tiger Points, they receive an extra 30 minutes of outdoor recess!

2020-2021 PBiS Goal

Did you know that as of March 5, 2021, 92% of our students have one or fewer behavior referrals? 366 out of our 400 students have received one or fewer behavior referrals for discipline thanks to our school-wide support and commitment to PBiS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports)! Our students are making great choices and learning quickly to avoid repeating bad ones!

Our overall goal is to have 85% or more of our kids receive one or fewer minor/major behavior referrals this school year. We are on track to meet that ambitious and worthwhile goal!

PBiS Participant Recognition

Congratulations to the staff of MES on completing all the requirements to be considered a “PA PBS Network Participating Site” during the 2020-2021 school year. This school year is like no other and so the network adjusted requirements to their “Recognition” system. This year we have successfully met the criteria of 'Participating' and next year we will pick back up with where our 2019-2020 Tier 1 & 2 PBiS status left off.

Spring Forward!
