BMHS Weekly Update
September 30, 2019
Student Food Deliveries
Beginning immediately, there will be no outside food deliveries accepted in the BMHS Main Office for students during the school day. This has become an increasing problem at BMHS. This includes UBER Eats, deliveries by individual establishments with delivery services, and food which is dropped off by friends. Also, BMHS students may not obtain a pass from class and wait at the school entrances for the delivery. Any food delivered to the building will be confiscated by school officials.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
The Free and Reduced Lunch Applications from last year will expire on Monday, September 30th, 2019. If you have not received an approval letter for this year your student's lunch benefits will end on Monday, September 30, 2019. The application form can be found at www.mymealtime.com. Please contact Nutrition Services at 216-267-2142 if you have any questions.
Junior and Senior College and Financial Aid Parent Night
A financial aid night, for all parents of college bound juniors and seniors, will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 7:00 P.M. in the BMHS Auditorium. You will learn about the college application process as well as the submission of the FAFSA form. There will also be time to ask any questions you may have about the college process.
Ninth and Eleventh Grade Vision/Hearing Screenings
Vision and hearing screenings will be conducted by our SWGHC Clinic Staff for all Freshmen and Juniors on Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st. If your child passes the vision/hearing screening, you will not be contacted by the school nurse. A vision or hearing screening provides only a snapshot of how your child performs on the day the test was administered and is not a substitute for a complete eye exam by an optometrist or ophthalmologist or hearing test by an audiologist. If your child fails any screening, you will be informed of the test results. Please direct any questions to the school nurse at 216-267-2079.
Fall Choir Concert
The Fall Choir Concert will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, at 7:00 P.M. in the BMHS Auditorium. Come listen to and enjoy all of the choir groups perform their fall arrangements. A table will be available for membership and volunteer sign-ups for the Performing Arts Boosters.
Picture Retake Day
Picture retake day is Friday, October 4th from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., the lunch periods, in the BMHS Auditorium. This is only for students who were not here on picture day in August or need to have their photo retaken. If the student is getting a retake, they must bring their original packet of photos with them to have retakes done, which will take place during their lunch period.
Student Fees Updated
Student Fee accounts have been updated and are available for review. Please log-in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to view your students' posted fees. For parents who would like to make payments electronically, fees can be viewed on the PayForIt.net web site, once you have created an account and added your students to your account. Credit card and electronic check payments may be processed through PayForIt as well. All buildings accept cash and check payments. Credit card payments can be processed on site at only the high school and middle school. Accounts with past due fees after the due date, November 1, 2019, may be submitted to a collection agency for further action. Please Note: All past due fees must be paid before a student may purchase Homecoming tickets. If you need information to establish an account in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or you would like a hard copy of your student's fee account, please contact the Bookkeeper's Office at 216-898-8900.

The Homecoming football game is Friday, October 18th at 7:00 at BW Finnie Stadium. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. The doors will open at 6:30 P.M.
