July 4, 2021
Welcome to Willow Springs for 2021-22!
Our families are the most important link for us, and we want to make sure that you have all the information you need.... especially when the building is not as accessible as you are accustomed to. Always feel comfortable to call us with any questions. Our school office number is 919.557.2770.
Meet the Teacher This Week
July 7 is for last names ending in M-Z
We hope to see you and your child.. it's an important way to ensure your child feels comfortable on the first day of school.
Remember, parents are not able to walk students into the building this year during school hours, so Meet the Teacher is more important than ever. Please bring any supplies you wish to send with you on Meet the Teacher to ease the load for your child on Thursday!
(**Kindergarten parents, you may bring students to the side door for the special entry on their staggered entry day... Look for the bengal and the balloons!)
School Starts on Thursday!!
Our school hours are a little different this year: 9:20-3:50, so the first bell will ring at 8:50 to allow students into the classroom. Remember, we ask car-riders to be here by 9:00 if you want your child to eat breakfast, so they can get to the classroom and be ready to start the day on time.
We are continuing our safety and health protocols to keep your child safe and to slow the spread of Covid. Safety protocols are generally the same as they were when we tracked out (see below), but we will closely monitor the Healthy Schools Toolkit and update you on any changes. For now, visitors and volunteers are still only absolutely essential, which means that parents are not allowed to walk down to the classroom or have lunch with your child. No worries, though.. we have lots of folks stationed in the hallways to make sure that everyone knows where to go to find their classroom, and we will take extra good care of everyone!
Everyone is required to wear a face-covering in the building, but masks are optional outdoors.
We will keep our students as far apart as possible, so for now, students are not grouped at tables, but are in individual desks. We encourage students to follow the paw prints to walk in the hallway.
Stay Home if Sick
Please do not send your child to school if they have had any of the following in the last 24 hours: fever, new cough, vomiting or diarrhea, severe headache, trouble breathing, loss of taste or smell.

If your family does not have a car-rider number, please use this form to request a number. You may pick it up at Meet the Teacher in the lobby. (All students in the same family have the same number.) If you had a number last year, you will use the same tag this year.
Bus Routes are available here. There will be a bus representative here on Meet the Teacher (in the cafe) if you have any questions.
