Teacher and Librarian Reimbursement Program

Have you bought supplies for your classroom this school year? North East ISD offers the Teacher and Librarian Reimbursement Program to help offset these expenses. Only employees with a teacher or librarian PEIMS code are eligible for a reimbursement on items purchased between July 1, 2015 and June 2, 2016. District funds will reimburse classroom teachers and librarians for supplies purchased from the employee’s personal funds and used in the classroom/library. The maximum reimbursement is $75 per teacher/librarian, and these funds are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Reimbursement requests can be submitted through the NEISD Employee Portal Intranet page (https://employee.neisd.net) under “My Applications.” Receipts dated between July 1, 2015 and June 2, 2016 must be submitted with a reimbursement request. Requests will be accepted until all funds are disbursed or by June 3, 2016 – whichever comes first.

Please review the complete procedures on how to submit reimbursement requests at http://intranet.int.neisd.net/finance/bookkeepers/documents/TEACHERREIMBURSEMENTPROCEDURES_2015-2016.pdf

SketchUp Pro 3D Software for Library Printers

Our Tech Services has enough licenses for SketchUp Pro 3D software to cover each library system. There are no Mac licenses, only Windows.

Important Note: This software will not work on older laptops (HP 6910 or 6930).

The librarian will need to submit a Help Desk ticket and Cc Kim Green.

Choose Main Category: Software Center > Sub Category: Approved licensed software installation > Title: Sketchup Pro 3D > Version: 2015. Also, include the computer name and model number for verification of compatibility.

There is a nice introductory guide to SketchUp Pro in the classroom available here. The first activity included in it is for students to design a chair (shown to the right), which is a wonderful start. There is also an excellent Quick Reference Card available as well. Learn more about how to use this amazing and powerful software in a free-to-anyone webinar on Sept. 29.

iPad Updates - Very important information!

A new Self Service app is being pushed out to all iPads. The Self Service app is necessary to receive the suite of paid apps from Library Services, as well as any campus paid apps. When notified to "Install," do NOT cancel.

There have also been reports of missing apps, caused by iPads losing the Apple ID and password.

Review this Google doc for critical information regarding iPad registration and updates.
