MCA Test Information
Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) will occur this spring for students in grades 6-8. All testing will take place at Jackson Middle School as there is not a virtual testing option. MCA Tests are a tool to measure student progress on MN learning standards in Math, Reading, and Science.
Test Schedule:
April 20: MCA Reading, All Grades - Advisory through 3rd Period
April 25: MCA Math, All Grades - Advisory through 3rd Period
May 4: MCA Science, 8th Grade only - 1st through 3rd Period
Please ensure your student comes to school well rested on these days. Make sure they have a great breakfast. All students can get breakfast at JMS. All students will need to bring a pair of corded headphones (bluetooth is not allowed). We are hoping for 100% attendance on these days which will limit the amount of make-up testing we need to do and pulling students out of class later.
Trimester 2 Grades
Grades for Trimester 2, will be available in StudentVUE and ParentVUE on Friday, March 24.
JMS Library
We have over 600 overdue books in the Library. Please have your student log into Destiny in their Lock and Key and/or check the automated email they receive on Sundays. We would love to get those books back for other readers to enjoy.
This week was the start of Maker March in the Library. Students had a chance to explore a variety of resources on the theme of Let's Get Rolling.
