NEW - Student BBQ
Nutrition Services provides BBQ lunches to the entire student body 2 times a year and we're going to take advantage of one of them this Friday - as long as it doesn't rain. Your child's teacher has reached out to you if you'd like to participate. We will take another count this Thursday to finalize our numbers. We hope to have a better idea of whether it will be canceled due to the weather by Thursday.
NEW - PTA Meeting
Join us this Tuesday at 6 PM for our monthly PTA Meeting. We'll be gathering in the Information Center. Come hear about what's coming up for Chapman Hills and share your thoughts. Chapman Hills is known for having a strong PTA and we're so fortunate to keep it going. Come out and meet some new families. Hope to see you there!
Holiday Heroes
Can you believe it's November already?! You know what that means, the holidays are here and before you blink, it's June! Until then, the holiday season is a time of giving and Chapman Hills is happy to announce that we are participating in Holiday Heroes once again. Starting this week and going through December 1st, each class will sponsor a family to make their holidays a little brighter. Each classroom will have a large envelope marked for gift cards to distribute to the families. Check your child's Dojo message this week regarding the family your class will be assisting. You will be receiving a flyer (see below) in your child's Wednesday folder this week with more details. We will also be collecting canned food and toiletries for the families. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Reminder of Health Procedures
It is coming up on the time of season where many students become ill. Chapman Hills has a policy that if your child is ill with a fever or has vomited, they need to stay home for at least 24 hours. Following is an excerpt from our Student Handbook:
Please inform the office of any special health concerns. Chapman Hills has a health clerk who is trained in first aid procedures, but is not qualified to diagnose or treat health problems. For this reason, sick children must be picked up at school and parents must determine the correct course of action. A child who is vomiting or has a fever above 99 degrees will be sent home and may not return to school for 24 hours after the vomiting has stopped or body temperature has returned to normal.
LCAP SURVEY for Students
Parent Survey
Parents, please take the LCAP survey to help guide our school. Last year, we only had 35 parent responses. I would love to triple this number for the current year. Please click on this link for the survey: https://ocde.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0DR5spurmS9Co18
Restaurant Night - Nexx Burger
Please join us for our next restaurant night at Nexx Burger. 15% of all proceeds go back to Chapman Hills. Tell your friends and family to use the code, "Chapman Hills" when ordering.
