Franklin 411
Issue #3 - October 2, 2022
A Word From Mrs. Loor
Dear Franklin Families,
We're full STEAM ahead into October! All of our students have now rotated into the STEAM lab and completed their first engineering design project. It was such a joy to see how engaged the students were as they worked collaboratively with their groups.
Our 1st and 5th grade classes pair up and meet periodically to share what they have been learning about with their buddies. These peer mentorship opportunities allow 1st graders to feel more acclimated to Franklin School and for 5th graders to act as role models.
We have been learning about influential Hispanic figures, Spanish phrases and other fun facts during morning announcements in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Our 5th graders will begin delivering the announcements every morning with Mrs. Audino.
Stay tuned for information about the Halloween Parade and class parties in next week's 411. And to those of who are observing this week, may you have an easy fast.
Happy School Custodian Appreciation Day to our hardworking custodial staff!
With Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Loor
