ELA HAPPENINGS
Kudos to Peggy Owens, Tara King and Julia Levy for their work on the next units as we lead up to the ELA!
MATH HAPPENINGS
Dr. Ardito will be here on Tuesday and Thursday; stay tuned for an email with his schedule for visiting classrooms/meeting with teachers. He will also be spending Friday with us for the Superintendent's Conference Day.
FEARLESS QUESTIONERS & GLORIOUS FAILERS
My high school friend, Troy Thrash, recently delivered a TEDx talk in Kalamazoo about some of his adventures in questioning and failing. Check it out here. (In addition to being in several classes together in high school, we were in school plays together. We danced together when he was one of the step-sisters in Cinderella and I was the prince.)

LESSON PLANS
New ARTS10566 cycle with new student roster begins soon
Reminder: THREE THINGS TO FOCUS ON IN 2019
1). Authentic, caring relationships with every student
2) Differentiated, data-informed instruction
3) Common, standards-based assessment with timely, actionable feedback
If we are successful with these three priorities, we will truly positively impact every student, every day, in every way.
