Hello, Lighthouse Families,
We’re sharing appreciation for our staff this week as part of American Education Week. They have done a tremendous job navigating yet another school year impacted by COVID-19. The time and dedication they put in to ensure all students feel valued, challenged, and have a sense of belonging is inspiring. They make me proud to be their colleague. If you have a chance to share appreciation you and your family may have, I know it goes a long way.
I’m sure you’ve seen or read about the labor shortage happening across industries. While we aren’t seeing the same impacts as other districts, we are experiencing a shortage of substitute teachers in our schools. If you are interested in supporting students and our schools by becoming a sub, we welcome you! You just need a college degree, and we will help with the rest. Find out more about becoming a substitute
- We’re a week away from our Thanksgiving break. Please make sure you are planning ahead. There is no school Wednesday, November 24 through Friday, November 26. On Monday, November 29, we’ll return for the last week of the trimester.
- We are still looking for volunteers to join the PTO Executive Board. Reach out to Jessica (firstname.lastname@example.org) or me with questions or to express interest.
I hope you’re enjoying the snow…have a great week.
