Learning for Life
Courtwarming is Tonight!
Come support the Liberators vs. Willard Tigers!
It's a 3-game night with the Freshmen game starting at 5:00pm, then JV, then Varsity.
The Courtwarming Coronation will be prior to the Varsity game.
Elektra Blue and Liberator Cheer will perform at the half of the Varsity game.
Parents are invited to First Impact event at BHS!!! January 30th at 6:00pm!
You are invited! You are welcome to bring your teen driver with you.
First Impact is a traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law as well as provides them with the tools they need to monitor, coach and support their new teen driver.
Missouri GDL law is a three-step licensing system. The purpose is to ease teens into licensure so that they can build skill in an environment that minimizes those things that are shown to cause the greatest risk for new drivers.
Research confirms that GDL laws have been instrumental in reducing teen crashes by 20 to 40%.

Coding at the Capitol
BHS Computer Science students visited the state capitol recently to share their knowledge with Missouri Legislators. There is legislation being introduced that would promote computer science education as a critical economic development strategy in the state. There are more jobs in CS related fields that there are qualified applicants. BHS offers a robust computer science program including dual credit opportunities for students in partnership with SBU. Gina Green leads our CS program and teaches the classes. She and Technology Director Brad Sterling also attended the event in Jefferson City.

Women in Computer Science Event
Girls Who Code
BHS Computer Science Instructor Gina Green held an event yesterday to promote computer science for girls. Women are underrepresented in STEM fields, including computer science. But we are changing that! Enrollment in BHS computer science classes has grown tremendously for girls.
