A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Although it was a short week, we were able to pack in a lot of learning and tons of fun! In catechesis, we practiced pin pricking and heard how Jesus loves the little children. In music class, we danced a hoedown and used hula hoops. In our classrooms, we wrapped up lessons on farming and apples. Don't forget the school is closed tomorrow and Friday for fall break.
Thank you to everyone who donated online for the auction and class needs. We were able to purchase the ECDC auction project and have funds left over for upcoming holiday parties and activities.
Halloween is just around the corner! We will celebrate with a Halloween Festival at ECDC on October 29th and 30th. Children may wear free dress on both days (no costumes please). Due to COVID protocols, we are not allowing visitors at our ECDC festival. See below for information on Marquette's Trunk or Treat.
Thank you to those who have sent us updated immunizations. If your child has new immunization records, please forward them to sarah.bergner@marquetteschool.org.

Trunk or Treat
We are SO excited to still be able to have one of our favorite events of the year!! In the interest of safety, we are making some changes and know that we can still have fun and stay safe!
- Trunk or Treat will only be one and a half hours this year
- The trunks will be in the ECDC parking lot and will be spaced every other parking space around the perimeter.
- We will have a marked, one way candy trail and are encouraging families to only go through it once or twice.
- We will not have food available for purchase this year or any extra activities like bounce houses, crafts and face painting etc.
- We will still have SPOOKY music playing and fun photo opportunities!
- There will be awards for the best trunk and best costume!
- Please keep in mind that all attendees must wear a mask and make every effort possible to maintain proper social distancing.
Below is the sign up link for Trunk or Treat hosts. We are excited to see what fun and festive trunk themes families come up with this year. Because we will be in the ECDC parking lot and spaced out we will only need 15 trunks. Please let us know in the comments if you will need power for your decorations.
We look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday October 25th from 1:30-3pm!

Earn Money for Marquette!
For years, Marquette has participated in a fundraiser called Scrip. It is a simple fundraiser that has the potential to earn a lot of money for our school. We have had very little support in the past, but with the new app, I'm hoping to change that! All you have to do is download the app, RaiseRight, and start earning. Purchase gift cards for everyday items (groceries, gas, home improvement, clothing, restaurants) through the app, and a percentage of each sale will go directly back to Marquette. For instance, my 11-year-old just hit a growth spurt and will need new uniform shirts and shorts. If I open my app, find Land's End, and purchase a $50 gift card, 15% of that will go back to Marquette! Or if I'm about to check out at Sam's Club or Target, I can open my app, purchase my gift cards, and scan the codes directly at check out! Marquette gets 2.5% back at both Sam's and Target.
If you download the app between now and Oct. 20th, your child(ren) will earn a SPIRIT DRESS day on Oct. 22nd/23rd!!
