Ready, Set, Go!
What an exciting school year full of changes! Wyman and Holden school intermediate students have embraced Station Rotation in the library classroom, while the primary classes are tackling new skills related to library arrangement and book selection. Here's a peek at what we have been up to.
Station Rotation Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade are navigating station rotation and learning some independence. They try three times, ask a neighbor, and if they are still stuck, switch their cup from green to red to get some one on one attention. | Google Classroom Intermediate students have all joined virtual library classes. They can watch teacher created videos to learn skills, turn in assignments and read class announcements. Available 24/7 it is the 21st century way to communicate with students. | Ethics Sixth graders are learning the necessary steps to avoid plagiarism by citing sources. Students are lInking URL addresses to text, adding EasyBib to docs, and copy and pasting without a mouse. Each week they are stretching their tech skills. |

Respectful Kindergarten students, with the help of my puppets, Dewey and Deci are honing their listening skills and practicing respectful behavior in library. | Responsible First grade students have learned about book care and selection. They are showing how responsible they are by bringing books home and taking good care of them. | Ready Third grade students are tackling the arrangement of each section of the library - Easy, Fiction, Nonfiction and Biography. They are showing they are ready to learn how to use the online catalog to find their books. |
Respectful
