College & Career Days 2015

It's never too early to explore future possibilities!


Your teachers will be discussing colleges and careers in various ways in your classes. Explore salaries in math class, reflect in your religion journal, write resumes in English, prepare for interviews in speech! Use the skills from your courses to prepare for real-world situations. You can also view Infographics on various career choices on display in the library.

Monday, March 23- House Shirts and Uniform Bottoms

Wear your house shirt and come watch the semi-finals of the March Madness basketball tournament at 12:15pm on the courts.

Tuesday, March 24- 8th Grade Assembly and X block activities (Mass Schedule)

8th Graders will hear from our high school counselors, college counselors, and current seniors about college planning. Students will tour the gym to ask questions about the college planning process.

7th Graders will participate in an online scavenger hunt to discover facts about college admissions and career trends. Winners will receive a prize!

6th Graders will take the "Strengths Explorer" Survey in Naviance and explore career possibilities based on their personal interests.

Wednesday, March 25- College Dress

Wear a college t-shirt, sweatshirt, or jersey with free dress bottoms.

THURSDAY, March 26- Career Dress Day

Dress up to represent your future career! Prizes will be given at lunch for best dressed. All those who dress up to represent a career are invited to have lunch on the 8th grade lawn and will be given a special dessert treat. House points will be awarded for best dressed in each grade level.

Note: Your dress must clearly represent a career choice!

Friday, March 27- House Spirit Dress and X Block Assembly

Show your school pride as we wrap up College and Career Days and March Madness with an X block assembly and basketball championship game! Wear orange and blue spirit dress or House Shirts. Jeans allowed with spirit dress tops.
