Public domain isn't protected by copyright because the work was donated to the public. An example is classic literature.
Freeware and Shareware
Freeware is work that you can copy, use, share and give away for free. Shareware is work that you can copy, use, and share for a limited amount of time. An example of freeware is Safari. An example of shareware is any lite app.
Open Source and All Rights Reserved
Open source is software that includes a source code that someone can use to improve on. All Rights Reserved is when only the purchaser and creator can access it. An example of open source is Firefox. An example of all rights reserved is video games.
