Pizza Bingo was a HUGE Success
Pizza Bingo Night 2019
Another Delicious Success For Trillium!
Trillium Creek was packed with families, friends, wonderful faculty, and a special guest appearance, for Pizza Bingo Night on Friday, January 25th. We had more than 500+ attendees (more than last year!) and not a seat was left! Thanks to the folks that made it work on the floors and side benches! We sold 127 pizzas – yay! The raffle baskets were a big hit this year! Special thanks to our sponsors that generously donated gift cards and other items and to all the parents that also donated items to the baskets!
So MANY Thank You’s…..
Thank you to ALL of our volunteers who helped out with getting everything ready for the big night as well as kept everything running smoothly from beginning to end! It takes a great crew to get all those tables and chairs set-up for that many people and in such a short amount of time. Many people stepped in to help (and offered to help) throughout the night and behind the scenes. What a wonderful community we have here at Trillium! Also, the night would not have rounded out as such a big success without a special thanks to those that stayed to help and clean-up. For the most part, everyone and everything was cleared out of the school by 8:30 p.m.!
Thank you to our 5th grade volunteers – you guys rocked the night!
BIG shout out to our new MC – Tim Loun - you were great and hope you had as good of a time as everyone else! Thanks for the ongoing entertainment!
And of course, a special thank you to Mayor Axelrod for clearing his schedule to be able to share this special night with the Trillium community by calling Blackout Bingo!!!!
Phew!!! We think that’s everyone but in case anyone was missed or the message is not clear….Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for helping to make Pizza Bingo such a fun and successful event year after year!
Until next year…..PB Chairs – Samantha Ray and Grace Teng

The West Linn Alliance for Inclusive Communities invites the entire community to take part in a public conversation with nurse, teacher, and children's book author Erika Bracken Probst. She will talk about how she came to write "Friends on my Street: A Celebration of Diversity," and why books like this are important when teaching children about inclusion.
The event will take place Saturday, Feb. 9 from 2-4 p.m. at the West Linn Public Library. Admission is free.
Oregon Assessment Information for 2018-2019
Please see the attached information if you want to know more about Oregon's 2018-2019 English Language Arts and Mathematics Assessments and for the form for opting out of assessments. The form is attached to the bottom of the Tweet.
For all other statewide assessments (OSAS Online Science, ELPA Summative, the Kindergarten Assessment, and the ORExt Science Assessment), parents may request that their student be exempted from state testing based on either disability or religion. OAR 581-022-1910 allows school districts to excuse students from a state required program or learning activity, including state testing, to accommodate a student’s disabilities or religious beliefs. In order for a school district to excuse a student from testing under this rule, the student’s parent must submit a written request to the school district, listing the reasons for the request and proposing an alternative individualized learning activity for the student that meets the same goals that would be accomplished by participation in state testing. News From Our Nurse
Important Measles Information
There is a serious outbreak of measles in the State of Washington and one case of measles was recently confirmed in Multnomah County. Measles is a viral disease that spreads easily from person to person through direct contact, as well as through the air when someone with the virus coughs or sneezes. Measles can be dangerous, especially for babies and young children, with one in every four people who contract measles requiring hospitalization.
The best way to protect against the measles is vaccination. West Linn-Wilsonville and Clackamas County Health are offering an Immunization Clinic where vaccines, including MEASLES vaccines, will be provided FREE of charge to children with no health insurance, the Oregon Health Plan, or children with insurance that does not cover the cost of appointments. That free Immunization Clinic will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at Boones Ferry Primary School from 4-6:30 p.m.
The flu has made a showing at one of the district primary schools. Please read the attached letter from our nurse.
