On the TRAIL - for Mustang Families
Oct. 26-30
We are MT - MUSTANG STRONG!
Updates for this week:
We know that the hope is to be in the Orange Tier soon and with that comes some more hope to have students returning to school sites if possible.
Stay tuned to EGUSD news for any communications for any updates. Meanwhile, we just want to keep everyone safe and healthy. We are going to stay focused on doing our best at MTHS for our students in Distance Learning and take it day by day.
Athletics and Activities are starting to get updates regarding the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2. While not everything has been approved in Phase 2, we do have some new adjustments and will have more teams starting to condition more often. We are excited for whatever opportunities we are granted to have students and student athletes able to participate. Families can stay in tune with updates at MTHS Student HUB and with our Athletic Website.

Ways to be involved - MTHS Equity
In order to keep improving and meet our mission of helping ALL students realize their greatest potential, we need to address systemic inequities for students. We know there is no quick fix and we are not perfect but we learn so much when we hear from our students and families.
Here are some ways students, staff and families can be involved:
- Students: Join the Student Equity Council - Join Student Equity Council - we want to hear authentic student voice and provide an opportunity for students to advocate to help MT identify and eliminate significant obstacles in school and to ensure they have access to the resources they need to succeed academically and socially
- Everyone: Join us for our final part 5 of the MTHS Book Study - Part 5 finishes on Oct. 29th. *If you missed this one, we hope to have additional book studies
- Everyone: Click here to Join MTHS Black Family Leadership Team - We are creating a Black Family Leadership Team to engage in critical discussions to improve our practices and improve student outcomes for our Black and African American students. Families and staff are invited to be a part.
- Everyone: Watch for the upcoming MTHS Regional Community Meetings - staff, students, families are encouraged to join all of the MTHS regions Principals and administration in our pursuit of racial justice - more information to come
