Grass & Weed ID

Participation in this contest provides a good opportunity to walk outside and learn about plants that make a difference for crop and livestock production. Practice sessions will be held in fields and pastures where the growing plants can be found. An initial meeting and practice session is scheduled for 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 22nd, at Randy and Julie Ochsner’s home located south of Juniata at 8065 West Oregon Trail Road. Additional practice sessions will be July 29th and Aug 4th the location is TBA. The contest is scheduled for 6:30 PM on August 5th at Ochsners.

Tree & Horticulture Contest

Kaycee Bridger will be teaching tree and horticulture identification this year. You will be able to impress your family and friends with your plant knowledge after participating in the program. The initial meeting and practice session is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 23rd at the Extension Office. Additional practice sessions will be Aug 3rd the location is TBA. The contest is scheduled for 10:00 AM on August 8th at the Extension Office.
