Patriots Pen
Week 25: March 4-8
Message from Mireles
During your department meetings this week we discussed "Tidying UP!" This summer our custodial staff will be following the district guidelines for deep cleaning. Please understand this is not a new guideline and a bit overdue. Although the packing and boxing might be a little annoying, in August you will be grateful to begin a new school year in a cleaner school.
Next week is Texas Public Schools Week: Tweet all the awesome stuff your classes are doing.
1. On Twitter use: #RMSUnited, @GOPublic, #ThisisNorthside
2. If student faces are in the picture be sure they have signed the Media Release form or better yet know who hasn't-- Laura Tejeda has this information.
Note: I typically ask the students if they're allowed to be tweeted. The ones who can't usually know.
For district guidelines on Social Media accounts see Employee Connection under the Communications department- forms/documents.

Student Accolades & Celebrations
So, e-mail Lori a small paragraph or bullet note about your team or club accomplishments, accolades, and celebrations. You know your students, so also send those individual accomplishments that you know our students celebrated for pageants, contests, 4-H, etc.
You may also add to the shared document that Lori will e-mail you after this newsletter goes out. This would be the best practice so that your item doesn't get missed. Please do not alter the format or anyone else's entry.
Please not everything that has happened to-date, as soon as possible. Thank you!
Did you know there's a new all staff e-mail in town?
The district is now maintaining the all staff e-mail for the campus. If you have a message for all staff, send it to all-rawlinson-staff@nisd.net. (It should populate for you when you begin typing it.)
You will not see the names of everyone in the header of your e-mail. Also, when you send messages, you won't get it because you're the one sending it. Obviously, it will be in your sent messages, but if you feel you must receive it too, just BCC yourself.
Special Olympics 2019! Congrats Athletes
Congratulations Lego Robotics Club!
1st place trophy for robot design and a golden ticket to the next championship event March 24. Well done! Thank you Traci & Rod for your time sponsoring and encouraging these students.
