What you need to know?

  • YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO IF A LONGHORN WERE TO ESCAPE
  • YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY DRIVE CATTLE AND CARE FOR THEM
  • YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO KNOW HOW TO RIDE A HORSE AND ALSO LASSO CATTLE
  • WHAT THE OPEN RANGE IS AND HOW IT PERTAINS TO YOU AND THE CATTLE
  • WHAT A LONG DRIVE IS AN WHAT TRAIL IS NEEDED TO GET THE CATTLE ON THE TRAIN

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE

  • ON THE JOB YOU WILL BE DRIVING CATTLE UP THE CHISHOLM TRAIL TO THE RAILROAD
  • YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF TAKING CARE OF LONGHORNS AND MAKING SURE THEY DON'T ESCAPE
  • YOU WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING THE CATTLE SAFE AND UNHARMED.

HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL

  • BE ABLE TO OVERCOME THE HARSH WEATHER AND THE TIME IT TAKES DURING THE LONG DRIVE
  • OVERCOME THE AGGRESSIVENESS OF THE CATTLE

THE PLACES YOU'LL GO

YOU WILL MAINLY BE DRIVING ON THE CHISHOLM TRAIL. OUR COMPANY IS BASED OUT OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. YOU WILL TRAVEL UP TO ABILENE, KANSAS. WE HAVE A SECOND RANCH IN WICHITA, KANSAS. YOU'LL BE ABLE STAY THERE AND REST UP.
