Relief Walk

Today, our staff and students enjoyed walking outside during an extended Advisory period. The walk served two purposes. For service, the students were sponsored to help raise money for the victims of recent hurricanes. For wellness, students learned the health benefits of walking before stepping outside. At the end of the walk, we all posed in TMS formation to get a photo and celebrate just one more way that we are Tamanend Together!

CB Southside Hurricane Relief

We congratulate and thank everyone who participated in helping Tamanend raise money to benefit the victims of recent hurricanes. Whether you bought a treat or coffee at BTSN, wore jeans for a donation on a Friday, or sponsored a student for the Relief Walk... your contributions add up. In fact, they added up to a little over $5000 total raised by Tamanend. If you would still like to donate to our Hurricane Relief Effort, we will keep My Payments Plus open through the weekend. Stay tuned to learn how much was raised by all of the CB Southside schools!

Magazine Trip to the Link

Tamanend sent two and a half buses of students to Lincoln Financial Field for a VIP tour of the Eagles' locker room, run out onto the field and experience the excitement of being an Eagles football player. Even more students enjoyed playing bingo for chances to win fun prizes at the end of the day. We thank everyone for their support of our school fundraiser. Aside from paying for students' planners, Student Council is considering purchasing bean bags for classrooms who want some alternative seating for students as they read or work on laptops.

Nominate a TMS Student for Boomerang Recognition

A Few Friendly Reminders

This coming Monday, we will go over the following reminders on our Tamanend Today Show. We ask that parents/guardians please review these with your student at home. Thank you for your support.

Deodorant and Body Sprays: Students are reminded that if they bring deodorants and body sprays to school to use after PE classes, they are to be used in the locker rooms and only sprayed on themselves. We have some students and staff who have asthma and allergies that are triggered by perfumes found in deodorant and body sprays. Students should show respect and responsibility when using these personal products.

First Marking Period: There are fourteen school days left in the First Marking Period. Parents and guardians, please sit with your students using the Parent Portal (on a computer--the phone app does not show teacher comments). Have a conversation about their progress and finishing the marking period strong. If your student cannot answer questions you might have about an assessment or assignment, please contact the teacher.

Throughout the year, Tamanend staff members look for examples of students showing Respect, Achievement, and Responsibility... R.oA.R. Those students are given "Tiger Tracks" tickets which students can enter into a drawing. Each Friday, Mr. Boyle draws one student's Tiger Track and announces the winner on our Tamanend Today Show. The winner can pick from a number of prizes including great coupons from Subway, Rita's, Randazzo's, Yogurt Tree, and Moe's!

The following students were recent weekly winners!
