GRADING INFORMATION
Please login to ParentVUE to review your student's grades.
Quarter 4 grades are posted:
- Quarter 4 grades are either a P or N and cannot be changed.
- If you are satisfied with the final grades, then you do not need to take any action.
- Families can elect to convert a final grade A+ through D- to P for any class. If you would prefer to have a P listed as a final grade vs. the actual grade listed, then submit the Permission Clik form and request a P by 8pm on June 15th.
- Families can also elect to expunge a grade for a high school course taken in Middle School. If your student took a high school course while in 6th-8th grade, you may elect to have the course expunged (grade and credit omitted) from the student's high school records. For 6th and 7th graders, parents need to submit the Permission Clik form to expunge a grade before their student enters high school. For 8th graders, parents need to submit the Permission Clik form for Broad Run High School by August 15th.
LOCKER ITEMS
For those families that were unable to attend our Pick Up/Drop Off distribution events over this past week, you may stop by FWS during the week of June 15th-19th between 10:00AM-2:00PM to pick up your student's locker bag.
RISING 9TH GRADERS
Future Spartans! If you are interested in joining the Broad Run High School color guard, check out the BRHS Marching Band registration page. No experience is required to join color guard. If you have questions, you can email the BRHS new band director, Eric Blanks.
CONTINUED LEARNING
Students will continue to have access to FWS' eBook and digital audiobook collection through MackinVIA over the summer. MackinVIA is accessible through LCPS GO or with the free MackinVIA app on iOS and Android devices. To login, students need to use Farmwell Station Middle School as the school name, their student ID number as the username, and their normal password.
For students and parents looking for a library challenge over the summer, Loudoun County Public Library will be running their annual summer reading program virtually this year. This year's them is "Once Upon a Summer." The challenge cards and sign up will be available on the LCPL website starting June 11th.
LIBRARY NEWS
Check out our Farmwell Library's Quarterly Newsletter, the Falcon Flyer. It chronicles library news for Quarter 4 at FWS! It also lists the 10 most circulated books during this school year. Take a look as it might give you some good reading ideas for your student over the summer.
YEARBOOKS
We are no longer accepting online orders for yearbooks. However, we will have extra yearbooks available for sale. Please complete the Yearbook Form, if you are interested in buying a yearbook.
The yearbooks are done and were expected to ship to FWS in early May. However, due to COVID-19 there will be a delay as a result of closed printing plants. It is now expected that the yearbooks will ship to FWS in mid/late June. Once we receive them, we will let parents know the pick up process from school.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
School Supplies are now available for order! Please support your PTA and our school by purchasing them online. The deadline to order online school supplies is July 7th. Supplies will be shipped to FWS in August.
