Overview of Holocaust

The Holocaust was a tragic time in the 1930's where 6 million Jews, were killed by Nazi soldiers by the power of Adolf Hitler their Leader. Hitler was the main reason the Holocaust war happened. The soldiers obeyed Hitler because he was too powerful and a scary person.

Definition/Background Information

Dachau was the 1st permanent Concentration camp set up in Germany by the Nazi government. It opened up at March 22, 1933. This camp was not as worst as Auschwitz. Dachau had very few Jews but it was one of the most important concentration camps in the Holocaust. The concentration camps were like a nightmare to all Jews.


A man named Jura Soyfer Herbert Zipper wrote a song about the Holocaust. Mostly about Dachau the 1st concentration camp. all concentration camps were all tragic places but the 1st one was just really terrifying. all Jews must have a horrible experience with the concentration camps

Original Research Question

The Dachau concentration camp was build and made in the year of 1933. It operated until the end of the war in 1945. It was the very first concentration camp that happened during the war of the Holocaust. All Jews were scared out of their mind and did not want their family or themselves go inside the concentration camps.


People in Germany are almost the main reason why the holocaust happened. People in Germany voted for Hitler to be their leader. Hitler was crazy and had too much power and wanted to kill all Jews. Can you believe people in Germany wanted Hitler to be their leader?
