LCES United: Together We Are More!

Mrs. Hladun's Tidings - Focus on Apex!

Last week the good mood was contagious around campus as we welcomed Apex into our classrooms each day. Rad Robin, Sonic Boom and Jurassic Jeff are amazing and we are so appreciative of their energy and the UNITED values they are sharing with our students.

Our Fun Run is on Wed., 11/8. We've moved it indoors given the wet weather (muddy grass is no fun for most of our friends to run on!). Please plan to join us as a volunteer at the event - we need folks to help mark the children's shirts, pass out water, and cheer our kiddos on! Below are the revised race times given that we are indoors:

8:15am - (2nd Grade) Shye, Shelton, Beatty

9:00am - (3rd & 4th) Botonis, Stuckey, Cruice

9:45am - (Kinder) Brown, Warren, Giannini

10:30am - (4th & 4/5 Combo) Williams, Coleman, Whiteside

11:15am - (5th Grade) Wright, Hill, Sliepen

12:00pm - (1st Grade) Risucci, Cook, Wetzstein

12:45pm - (2nd & 3rd) Ochoa, Crook, Bombard

1:45pm - (Kinder & 1st) Swanson, Fleshman, Cassidy

Thank you for your support! The funds raised through this fun run make a tremendous difference in our ability to provide both educational and community building experiences for our children!

Fall Food Drive!

We are partnering with the local Lincoln Lions Club to collect non-perishable foods for local families through Wed., December 6. Boxes will be in each classroom in the coming days. Throughout November, please watch for information to come home from your teachers and from our Leadership Ambassadors. The class with the highest number of items donated will earn a pizza party thanks to the Lions Club.

Thank you for contributing what you can to benefit those in Lincoln who are struggling this holiday season! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Soha at or Mrs. Adams at

Seeking Gardening Helper!

We are looking for a parent or two who is interested in helping us maintain our winter gardens. We'll be planing cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower in two of our three beds. We are looking for a parent who can help us (with some student help!) to keep it weeded and watered (as needed).

If you are interested, please contact Karla Noyes at
