In Tanana Woodshop News . . .
Mr. McGee has been working with students and their families to create unique crafts from home. Here are some examples of projects going on in workshop!
Cabin design & construction is always a project for beginner students. The next project in woodshop for the newbies is to create Halloween decorations~tombstone, spider, coffin. Senior students will be completing their self-selected, independent designs~a four wheeler rack, a coffee table, etc.
In Advisory News . . .
Our daily Advisory period is going great! We have begun our read of the novel Ghost. The students are working in these small groups to connect and discuss the sensitive issues in the novel in a safe environment.
September is Suicide Prevention Month and Advisory teachers have been facilitating discussions around suicide prevention. Our Spirit Week was a huge success and big thanks to everyone who participated!
Next week’s Advisory will continue to address disagreements, conflict resolution, compromise, and communication.
