What's Happening in the LMC!
Barnes and Noble Book Fair
We had a wonderfully successful Barnes and Noble Bookfair in December which brought together many families for a singalong and story hour. The LMC earned $1,188.66 which will be used to purchase new books with the input of students and teachers. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Barnes and Noble for supporting this event and a big thank you to all who participated, shopped and volunteered their time.
Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship
One big goal of the Library Media Center is to help students become savvy users of information in many forms. Common Sense Media has lessons and resources that help students understand the importance of thinking critically, behaving safely and participating responsibly in an increasingly digital world. See the scope and sequence of these lessons here. Common Sense Media also has reviews of movies, books, video games and apps that are helpful for parents.
