Using QR Codes in the Classroom

QR codes...you know those little square things on things we buy or places we go? You can scan them and it will give you more information or take you to a link. You can see pictures of one below. QR codes can be used in the classroom for math practice, going to a link for information, scavenger hunts...the ideas are endless!

Digital Learning Day

Hazel Green Elementary

Thank you for your participation in Digital Learning Day! I know that our wifi was not working that day and our plans may have changed but being flexible is the name of the game...especially with technology :) Enjoy the picture of some of our younger students showing what they can do with technology.

Need help?

If you are needing anyhelp with technology "stuff" in your classroom, need ideas on what to use, or need me to come show you and your kids how to use something please feel free to ask! If I don't know the answer to your question I will find someone who knows!

Thank you so much for your participation in our webinars during our grade level collaboration meetings AND for joining the technology Edmodo group and leaving a message about your webinar. Webinars are a great way to get ideas, learn about current trends, go deeper into your academic areas - all without leaving the comfort of your home! If you are interested in learning more about webinars, where to find them, how to watch them...please let me know. You can get PD credit for many of the webinars online.

Have you heard about padlet? It is a paper wall for the web...you can create a wall and your kids can use the ipads to send a response to your wall and it can be seen by your whole class on your board. For example, students can type in their answers, ask questions, brainstorm ideas, or share information with the class. It is fast and very simple to use! If you are interested in trying it out look it up or see me! The website is: http://padlet.com/
