Edible Book Festival
Danville Public Library 2015
You are cordially invited to Danville Public Library’s 2015 Edible Book Festival!
Who: kids, teens, adults, businesses, and library staff
What: Near April Fool’s Day each year cities around the world participate in the
international edible book festival. Festivals are held in Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, and Russia.
Books are displayed in edible form, often using wit such as “20,000 Leeks Under the Sea”, “Spamalot”, “Booklava”, and “Frank and Stein.”
Entry Guidelines:
*All entries must have something to do with a literary work
*All entries must be edible
*All entries must be appropriate for family viewing

Where: The Danville Public Library Program Room
When: Saturday, April 11th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Set up for participants is from 1:00 pm to
2:00pm. Voting will be from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Light refreshments will be served at 4:00 and awards will be announced at 4:15 pm.
Awards: Awards will be given in the following categories: Punniest, Most
Creative, and Best Workmanship. The Runners-Up in each category will also be announced.
How to Enter: Entry forms are available at the library and must be turned in by April 8th.
