Guinea pigs do not live on a farm. They live in Peru caves. They live in South America. They live in the rain forest of South America. They can be house pets too.

Guinea Pigs are mammals with a vertebrate, They are considered rodents. They have fur all over their bodies and they are warm blooded. They move on all four feet and their biggest predator is the anaconda snake.
Life Cycle
Guinea pigs are born alive, but have no fur. the female is called a sow and a male is called a boar and a baby guinea pig is called puppies.

Guinea pigs need their cage to be cleaned every week. They need to exercise every day. Guinea pigs can weigh up to 2 to 3 pounds. They live up to 5 to 7 years. A happy guinea pig will jump in the air. When they jump in the air, it is called popcorning. Guinea pigs love to be held. A mad guinea pig will show its teeth. They will squeal when hungry, hurt, or want attention.
