The District 7070 RYLA program, “Leadership Begins With Me”, provides an opportunity for the participants to get to know themselves better and to cultivate the respect and trust of others. They are able to identify their own leadership skills and determine ways to make more effective use of their resources. Their enthusiasm and technique is brought back to the community from which the participants were sponsored, and thus impacts on the young people being influenced by these youthful leaders.

Polar Dipping with The Rotaract Club of the University of Toronto
The University of Toronto Rotaract Club hosted a Polar Bear Dip on March 13th at Sunnyside Beach in support of the Rotarian lead Haitian Humanitarian Assistance and Relief Team (HHART) working in the Dominican Republic. Members representing 6 Rotary and Rotaract clubs raised over $1600 to go towards the purchase of mobile dental supplies to enable the dental team to educate and work within the communities they serve. The event was full of adrenaline and despite the 3 degree C water it was a lot of fun!

U of T's Comedy Night Ft. Adorable
The Rotaract Club of the University of Toronto hosted a Comedy Night fundraiser on Saturday March 19th to raise funds for one of their chosen international initiatives, ShelterBox. Hosted at Trinity College, the night was absolutely hilarious, with comics coming from all over Toronto to perform, including the trio Adorable. The event was a great success, with over 50 people showing up to laugh and enjoy the show. It was a great opportunity to put Rotaract on the map at U of T, and we're looking forward to more great events like this in the future.
