Weekly Update- April 12, 2019
Week at a Glance
Math- We took a growth assessment this week and also started unit 6. I plan to give the unit 5 assessment on Monday of next week. I jumped into unit 6 before giving the unit 5 assessment because I wanted to give students a break from testing. Unit 6 focuses on geometry.
Computer Science- We started our 3rd E4Tech unit this week and students are already loving it. For the entire unit we will be exploring Lake Erie shipwrecks. The math focus for this unit is area and perimeter, and at the end of the unit we will use what we learned to program a robot.

Warm Days
I know the grass can get itchy for some kids so I'm asking that everyone to send in a towel that can be left at school so your child will have something to sit on in the grass if we go outside. If you aren't able to, just let me know! Thanks!!
Ohio State Testing
The math portion of the test will take place on April 30th & May 1st.
If you'd like to check out the practice test at home you can visit this website: https://oh.portal.airast.org/users/students-and-families.stml (click the red bicycle)
If your child doesn't have headphones here at school, please send in a pair. Thanks!
