Celebrating The Advent Season In Third Grade...The Jesse Tree!

The Jesse Tree represents Jesus’ family tree. It takes us through that first long Advent, which lasted from the Fall to the Incarnation with a collection of Scripture meditations to prepare for the coming of Christ at Christmas. Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas, and therefore varies in length between 22 days and 28 days. In 2015, it is 26 days long. Each morning students will be gathering around the Advent wreath, reading from selected scripture and presenting their hand made Jesse Tree ornaments.

At-Home Keyboarding Practice With TYPING CLUB!

As a reminder, Typing Club, is a fully web-based program that allows students to log-in and practice keyboarding in class, at home, on the weekend and virtually anywhere an internet connection can be found. Our lower school technology teacher, Mr. Vasquez, highly encourages 15-20 daily practice minutes at home! The most important thing for your child to focus on while practicing is to avoid looking at the keyboard while typing and proper posture. Please encourage your child to practice, practice, practice!

To log in to your child's Typing Club account, go to the following login URL: This link will also be uploaded to the on-line Third Grade Resource page. Note: Your child's personal log-in information was sent home last week.

Please contact Mr. Vasquez directly at if you should have any questions and/or concerns about Typing Club. Thank you!
