Valentines Info:
Students will be exchanging valentines at our Valentine’s Day Celebration on Wednesday, February 14th from 2:15-3:00 (Students only). If you choose to make or buy valentines, please include everyone on your child’s homeroom list. This ensures that every student receives valentines. Students do NOT have to give a valentine to every student in fifth grade, but they are welcome to give valentines to students in other classes. We will be providing each student with a white paper bag to serve as their “mailbox” for their valentines. Students will have an opportunity to decorate their bags in school on the day of the party. (If your child would like to make their own mailbox and bring it in, that is fine.) We hope that our celebration will make everyone feel included, appreciated, and loved. Please visit our Bloomz site for a sign-up list of additional snacks and needed items. We appreciate your help in doing this! Please, let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ward and Miss Cotey
Math News:
Next week we will begin to add decimals, and look closely at lining up place value to add.
We will also have our spiral review quiz on Thursday that will cover review problems that we have worked on throughout the week.
Science News (Ward Homeroom Only):
There will not be a formal quiz during this short week, but students will be graded on their participation work in class.
