Gang Violence
Gang violence in thee U.S. history goes way back to the 1800's. The U.S. in the 1800's were mainly whites. More diverse gangs did not come out until the mid 1900's. Gang violence short terms are death or in jail. Long terms are the same but after being in the gang for so long you're ranking is so high you can't leave the gang and leads to adult criminal activity.

Gangs have been in existence every since the rise of humanity. Humans have always banded together for mutual protection and support. so the come together with one another to fight for a spot to be big and above everyone else this have been going on all across the world .
This bulletin presents research on why youth join gangs and how a community
can build gang prevention and intervention services. The author summarizes
recent literature on gang formation and identifies promising and effective programs
for gang prevention.
Youth are at higher risk of joining a gang if they engage in delinquent
behaviors, are aggressive or violent, experience multiple caretaker
transitions, have many problems at school, associate with other
gang-involved youth, or live in communities where they feel unsafe
and where many youth are in trouble.
