168th Lighthouse School in the Nation, Building Leaders
Message from Administration
It was a fabulous 2nd week of school! Our goal was to continue expediting our dismissal process, and we certainly experienced some weather challenges throughout the week. Through the rain and heat, we managed to finish between 3:15-3:25pm this week. Once the car rider line begins finishing at a consistent time, our staff and safety patrol will move indoors. At this time, parents will be asked to come in and sign their child(ren) out in the office. This week, it has been around 3:20pm. Thank you for your patience as move into the school year with this process.
Again, the office will remain closed between 2:30-3:15 in an effort to help communicate dismissal changes and begin the dismissal process. At the beginning, we have had several students leaving between 2:00-2:30pm. Sign out is available during this time, but it does cause students to lose between 20-50 minutes of instructional time. We hope that you will take advantage of the car line now that we have streamlined the process. Thank you!
We loved celebrating our GRANDPARENTS this week! Thank you for sharing them with us. It is such a special moment that will be remembered forever for our little Tigers.
We also loved having all of you out Tuesday night at the PTA Kickoff!

Calling all Student Volunteers!
Does your student volunteer at Tuscany Heights through patrols, broadcasting, library lifesavers or any other leadership position? Does your student do community service through scouts or your church? Does your student volunteer at any organizations such as a food bank or animal shelter? If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we want to know so we can acknowledge your child! If you already have an account at the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) website then don't forget to log your child's hours. If you are new to logging hours, please create a PVSA account for your Tiger so you can start logging. Full instructions can be found on the Tuscany Heights PTA website: http://www.tuscanyheightspta.org/presidential-volunteer-service-award.html Check the weekly eBlasts for information on community service activities offered at Tuscany Heights during the school year. Please contact Kelly Cardenas at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
