SHEIKO STAFF WEEKLY UPDATE
"LEADING WITH HEART" 2-3-19
GOOD THINGS
- Lindsay, thanks for facilitating your pieces on Affirmations. It was not only powerful, it really hit home with me and so many staff members. The video clip and song are all good pieces for each of the teachers to go back and use with their classes as they see fit and time. Thank You. - Kristin, I really appreciate you facilitating your piece on raters. The manner in which you have structured your class and empowered your students is truly where we want all of our classes to be. Also, for all of our students to have the opportunity to lead and take ownership not only of their learning, but the importance of learning and empowerment for the entire class. Thank you so very much.
- Susie, thank you for preparing the session on the essentials and helping staff gain a greater understanding and knowledge of these important instructional practices.
- Robert thanks for sharing your Snow Day Doodly. It was awesome. I will be looking into getting a building account.
- I appreciate all of your sharing in our staff circle prior to starting the work. It was great to laugh, share and learn a little more about each other. YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!
I hope each of you will take the time to reflect on the each component of the pd that was provided on Friday. Think of how you can take what you have learned and embed it into your current practice. Many may just need to tweak what you are currently doing. Whether it was an aha moment or confirmation of what you are doing, it's all good instructional and cultural practices that may have a huge impact on the daily functioning of your class and the students learning experience.
