Students will be able to dress up as their favorite super hero. We will be honoring the fact that we all have super hero qualities inside of us! It will be lots of fun.

Tickets are $3 in advance (until Sept. 11) and $5 at the gate. It is a huge community event. Gates open at 7:00 PM and the movie will start as soon as it gets dark. Don't forget your blankets! A ticket form is attached, and tickets can also be purchased through your account.

Our 2nd annual Tigerthon will be held on Oct. 2 during the students' Specials time.

This year our goal is to add 5 iPADS per classroom. We have Kindles, tablets, and laptops (thanks to PTA), but we don't have any iPADS for the classroom. As you know, the iPADS have so many great apps that are available free to schools.

Please help us reach our goal by pledging just $1.00 per lap for you child.

And, we want you to join in the fun too! So, pledge $1.00 per lap for you to walk with your child. Your contributions will be added to your child's.

The top 3 money "getters" will each receive an iPAD mini. Other prizes include:

If you collect at least $25 - Star Wars in the gym

If you collect at least $100 - popcorn and DJ party

Everyone who brings in something will receive a fun sticker prize.

Remember, we are replacing our annual fundraiser with this because it is simple (no selling or buying from a catalog), brings in money, and promotes wellness!!

Last year's Tigerthon purchased all the new kid-friendly media center furniture. I hope everyone has had a chance to see it! Thank you!

Enjoy the Labor Day Holiday

Dear Parents,

As we celebrate Labor Day this weekend (no school on Monday), it reminds me what we are about. The definition on the US Dept. of Labor's web site is,

"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."

So, I need to thank everyone who has helped make this country be the best, and everyone who has helped make this school the best. Those that built it, those that clean it, those that teach the children, those that support the office, and those that cook the takes us all.

Without all of you, we would not be who we are....a school whose motto is to

Learn it, Love it, and Live it at Lovin, and whose mission is "Molding minds, building character, celebrating uniqueness, and leaving a legacy."

Thank you parents for sharing your children with us each and every day.

I love being the Principal of this amazing place to learn...a place where children come first!

Have a great weekend!

Our next Boxtop Parade is September 25

It's a fun way to celebrate all the students who save boxtops for our school. Each one is worth 10ยข. Once a sheet is complete, they can be part of our Boxtop Parade the last Friday of each month.

The sheets can be found on our web site in the Forms and Flyers sections.
