Merry Christmas To You!

A wee 'card' and update from afar!

Praying Jesus finds us seeking Him above all

'When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”'(Luke 2:15) In the busyness of this time of year, I've been encouraged by these verses to remember that He is still there to be found, when we choose to seek Him where He is, as the shepherds did. And in this time of year, with so much grabbing our time and attention, it certainly takes a conscious decision to do this; to walk by faith to find Him. But how amazing, that when we seek Him where His heart is in every aspect of our lives; in our families, relationships, workplaces, in our struggles, when we care for the things He cares for, we meet with Him! That He is waiting for us to seek His face. And what an incredible time of year this is to do just that, when we focus on the birth of His Son. 2 Cor 3:17,18 says we, with unveiled faces, see the very glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, promising that there is freedom to be found there. I pray that such beautiful truths will direct our hearts towards where He 'Emmanuel', God with us, is to be found today, inviting us moment by moment to live in His very presence! God bless :)

I'm coming to Scotland... in 1 week!

Saturday, Dec. 22nd 2012 at 10pm to Saturday, Jan. 5th, 12am

Edinburgh, Banchory... open to other suggestions

Any chance of seeing you?

Of course, coming all this way, I would be over the moon happy to see you!! I know it's a busy time of year though, and with it being only a 10 day trip, I'm undecided about whether I'll be able to make it all the way down to Glasgow/England... unless, that is, I get a large number of people asking me to visit (and someone offering a place to stay ;) But, anyone is welcome to come up and visit me in Banchory, or meet part way. If we can figure something out, I would love to make the most of my trip over and get together with as many of you as possible!

How you can keep on praying for this country

  • Decision to be made by January about whether to stay in Cambodia next year, and in what capacity;
  • Trip to Scotland: time with family and friends; getting the rest I need;
  • A close daily walk with the Lord

Thank you!! I'll send a more detailed update on the past few months once I'm up for air in a week or so :)

Don't forget to be in touch if you'd like to meet up between Dec 23rd and 5th!
